Filipinos abroad who wish to take licensure examinations can now do so even without returning to the Philippines. The secretary of Labor, Rosalinda Baldoz announced that the Philippine Regulations Commission (PRC) has approved the resolution that seeks to revise the implementing guidelines on the conduct of Special Professional Licensure Board Examinations (SPLBE) for OFWs.

Philhealth Corporation announced that they are postponing the increase in premium contribution for their overseas Filipino worker (OFW)-members. According to PhilHealth’s Executive Officer, Eduardo Banzon, the agency decided to defer the planned implementation because of the current global economic crisis that led to the repatriation of many OFWs.
