The 238,000 Filipinos based overseas who were delisted by Commission on Elections (Comelec) can again exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections this May. The government agency reinstated their voting rights thru a resolution that was signed after a migrants group explained their side to Comelec Commissioner Grace Padaca and Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes.

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) reminds applicants and agencies about the no-placement fee policy for all Filipinos that will be deployed as household service workers (HSWs) in foreign countries. The new reminder is specifically directed to HSWs bound to Hong Kong as some recruitment agencies are reportedly protesting the policy.
