The president of Greenfields International Manpower Services Inc, Federico Acdal, informed that registered Filipino nurses are in-demand in the following countries: United States of America (USA), Canada and New Zealand (NZ).

To address the shortage of nurses in the countries mentioned, Acdal said in an interview conducted by the Bohol Chronicle, that their agency will hold a two-day job fair in the provincial capitol of Tagbilaran City on February 6 and 7, 2008. Greenfields is organizing this event in coordination of the provincial government of Bohol in an effort to provide employment opportunities for Boholanos.

Applicants must have passed the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools test (CGFNS) or the state board RN examinations or (NCLEX).

Likewise, nurses who are passers of English tests like Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are preferred and will be prioritized.

Most job vacancies for registered nurses in the USA are in the field of travel nursing. This job will give the nurses a chance to work in different US states and will enjoy free housing.

A score of 6.5 in all subjects except speaking (must be 7) is required for applicants to Canada. On the other hand, New Zealand offers a free bridging course (a requirement to be granted a license in NZ). A score of 7 in IELTS in all subjects is also required to be hired in New Zealand.

Aside from registered nurses, Greenfields is also looking for physical therapists and medical technologists for United States under a registered company IPC Group Inc (Reg. no 1031683).
