Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, will take place on March 21, 2004. Celebrations will continue for two weeks. Iranian Government offices and public companies will be closed for the most part from March 18 until April 3, 2003. Some private companies will also be closed during this period. Restaurants, hotels, and tourist agencies will remain open. However, bazaars, grocery stores, souvenir shops, and museums will keep irregular hours.
