HSPI’s History
The President and CEO of HSPI is Mr. Victor Fabregas Alcuaz. Mr. Alcuaz started his career in the service industry with Philippine Airlines (1975- 1983) where he was an International Flight Crew and later a Crew Trainer and Audio-Visual Officer. In 1985 the Hyatt Regency Manila appointed him Director of Human Resources; in 1990 when Shangri-La International was preparing to open its first hotel in the Philippines, the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Vic was hired as the opening Human Resources Director, a position he held until 1993. In 1994 he established
HSPI started as a domestic hospitality executive search firm in 1994 immediately after its Mr Alcuaz resigned as HR Director from the Edsa Shangri-la Hotel. HSPI was fortunate to have opened several hotels and resorts in the country, recruiting executives and staff in all levels. Among these establishments are the Heritage Hotel, Punta Baluarte hotel, the Delta Philippine Dream Hotel and Casino among others. In 2005, HSPI was granted an international recruitment license by the P.O.E.A and thus since this time HSPI has grown from a domestic recruitment company to an international recruitment company deploying Filipino hospitality executives and staff to about 20 countries worldwide.
HSPI and Applicants
The requirements of HSPI for an applicant will depend on the position and what the employers are looking for. If a job is for a five Star Hotel abroad then a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a local 5 Star Hotel is required. Ultimately, HSPI look at the attitude of the applicant, if he/she has the right attitude towards work then he/she has a greater chance of being placed by HSPI. The placement fee structure varies from client to client. HSPI offers financial assistance to clients if necessary.
