Spain is a great work destination for most Filipinos. For this reason, the creation of 100,000 job opportunities for Filipino healthcare workers in Spain because of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is good news for most people.

For this reason, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) issued out an advisory against foreign based placement agency who might take advantage and offer non-existent jobs for caregivers and nurses in Spain.

According to POEA, the Spanish government only allows licensed placement agencies based in the Philippines to recruit for Filipino workers.As stated in the memorandum of understanding, the point of hiring and issuance of entry visas and work permits for the experimental hiring of Filipino healthcare professionals are exclusively in the Philippines.
 

As of this writing, the following agencies were pre-qualified by the POEA to participate in the recruitment and deployment of OFWs to Spain:

Dahlzhen International Services Inc.; Sun-Ace International Management Services, Inc.; and Ed-Fro-Bon Manpower Services, Inc. Other agencies have applied for pre-qualification and are now being evaluated.
