The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) advised the public that the guidelines for the recruitment of Filipino workers for 100,000 job opportunities in Spain are not yet available and that they are not accepting applications.

The employers from Spain is not yet giving any job orders apart from the 40 OFWs who are already in Madrid for the projecto piloto or pilot project for caregivers from Servicio De Prevencion De Riesgos Grupo Los Nogales.  The job order for the said project was vested by POEA in Sunace International Management Services on March 22, 2006.

As of now, interested applicants for job opportunities in Spain are advised to avoid dealing with recruiters who promise a post in the said country.
