Warning to Caregiver Applicants
Dec 9, 2003
Citing a report from the Philippine Labor Office in Canada, Administrator Baldoz warns all prospective caregiver applicants for Canada against Express Canada, an Ontario, Canada-based “consulting services and caregiver job training institute”. Claiming to be duly licensed by the Canadian Government, Express Canada is offering referral services for prospective caregiver applicants. It claims to process applications and travel documents of applicants for a total fee of US$ 220.00.
“Contrary to its declarations, Express Canada is not licensed by the Better Business Bureau of Canada, which has a listing of all legitimate business organizations in that country. All prospective caregiver applicants for Canada are therefore warned against the abovementioned consulting and referral services firm. They are advised to exercise caution and scrutinize entities they are dealing with,” Administrator Baldoz added.
