According to acting Labor Secretary Danilo P. Cruz, there are other mega jobs fair at Quezon City Hall area, the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Vito Cruz, Manila, and other areas across the country happening simultaneously during the celebration of the country's 108th Independence Day.
The said event that will offer some 10,000 local and overseas jobs is still part of the Arroyo administration's legacy agenda of creating millions of jobs for Filipinos. As well as pursuant to the DOLE Administrative Order No. 127 Series of 2006, directing the conduct of the fair to bring together employers and applicants in a convenient venue to facilitate jobs and skills matching which was issued by Labor and Employment Secretary Patricia A. Sto. Tomas.

(FFCCCII), the Regional Coordinating Council-National Capital Region (RCC-NCR), Public Employment Service Office Association of Metro Manila (PAMM), private establishments and non-government organizations (NGOs), and various agencies,” he said.
As part of the job fair, there will be a showcase of products of the beneficiaries of the DOLE's Poverty Free Zones (PFZ) and PRESEED (Promotion of Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship Development) programs with the participation of Jollibee, Goldilocks, the San Miguel Corporation, CDO Foodsphere, Portal, Supervalue, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
The DOLE's Labor Relations Cluster will provide onsite legal and welfare assistance to workers, pre-employment counseling, along with the pre-employment services of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the National Statistics Office (NSO), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig Fund, and Phil-Health, and a special booth to facilitate on-line job and skills matching services through Phil-Jobnet system will be set up.
