The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai, United Arab Emirates advised all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) not to partronize illegal medical services.

A public advisory was released right after the Consulate was informed that an OFW allegedly died of complications after having a cheap cosmetic surgery. 

Consul Ferdinand Flores said a reaction in relation to an illegal cosmetic procedure was the suspected cause of the OFW's death. 

The Consulate would like to remind all Filipinos not to do business with unlicensed professionals to perform medical and cosmetic services or procedure which may either result to injury, disability or even death. 

Unlicensed individuals are offering cosmetic services like lip injections, nose lift, breast and butt enhancements at very cheap prices. But Flores insisted Filipinos should only get the medical or cosmetic services at licensed proffesionals to avoid any complications or worse, death.
