OFWs can now remit SSS contributions via GCash
Apr 15, 2016
Paying through the nearest SSS branches or accredited partners can be a hassle for someone because of too much time, money and effort spent. Using the accessibility of mobile phones, the Social Security System launched their mobile payment scheme via GCash last December for self-employed, voluntary and OFW members for their contributions and loan payments. Prepaid or postpaid subscribers of Globe or Touch Mobile can now use the GCash app. To register, members can dial *143#, select “GCash” and enter the desired four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) with their first name, last name and address. Two ways to pay via GCash:
-
Dial *143#. Select “9” for GCash. Select “5” for “Pay Bills”. Proceed with payment process.
-
Dial *137#. Select “2” for “National Gov’t Agency”. Proceed with the payment process.
OFWs can guarantee safety when paying contributions and amortizations for salary and real estate loans using GCash since it requires to provide the PIN for every transaction.
OFWs can call the GCash Customer Service Support Hotline at 739-2882 for their questions. They can also reach out to SSS OFW Contact Services Unit at +632 364-7796 and +632 364-7798.
