OEC Online System launched by POEA
Audrey, Sep 17, 2014
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration or POEA recently sof-launches its Balik Manggagawa online processing system, highlighting that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) that are returning abroad may soon get their Overseas Employment Certificates or OEC by printing out from their home computer or at internet cafe's.
POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said that POEA are soft-launching the Balik Manggagawa (BM) Online system, aiming to centralize the processing of overseas employment certificates or OEC. He added that their idea is giving Balik Manggagawa the convenience of printing out and paying their OEC by having access to the appointment facility.
But this service is available only for :
1. Workers on vacation.
2. Workers re-hired.
3. Workers returning to the same employer, and
4. Workers with existing record in the POEA database.
Previous OECs issued by the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices are not yet enrolled in the system, so the BMs are to be guided to the appointment system. OFWs already registered with the system can just log in to the site, but new users habe to fill out online form. The new system can be tried by logging on to bmonline.poea.gov.ph.
