Deployment to Two Countries stopped by POEA

Are you an OFW bound for Libya or Thailand? Better read this first before boarding that plane to ensure your safety and leave your family worry-free.
A total ban on the deployment of Filipino workers to Libya were implemented after the worsening security situation. Filipino nationals staying in the country are advised to leave voluntarily as soon as possible.
While the processing and deployment of newly-hired Filipino workers bound for Thailand are also suspended by the Governing Board of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
The department had issued Alert Level 2 (Restriction Phase) because of the declaration of Martial Law by Thailand's army due to the escalating civil and political unrest and insecurity in the country.
Filipinos who are already in Thailand as workers or residents are advised to:
- Stay indoors for the duration of the curfew which is from 10 pm to 5 am.
- Refrain from taking part in rallies or other political activities.
- Always carry a valid identification documents.
- Avoid non-essential and suspicious movements in Thailand.
- Follow the security instructions imposed by the authorities.
- Contact the Embassy for emergencies.
- Exercise extreme caution at all times.
If you are bound to the said country, it is much safer to delay or cancel your flight and wait for further notice from the government.
