Got an e-passport with detached cover? Request a new one

Filipinos who hold e-passports with detached cover and belong to series of serial numbers EB0000001 to EB1267350 may request a new e-passport at the Department of Foreign Affairs'Office of Consular Affairs or DFA-Aseana or in Satellite and Regional Consular Offices.
Replacement come with a certain charge or for free.
- The majority of the pages have been used and the e-Passport’s condition is the result of wear and tear;
- The holder of the detached e-Passport refuses to surrender said passport to the DFA
- The applicant fills up the required replacement forms;
- The e-Passport is deemed substandard during inspection;
- The holder surrenders the detached e-Passport to the DFA
Filipinos who wish to travel abroad are encouraged to get an e-passport as the old versions of the Philippine passport will no longer be accepted for use by October 2015.
