Because of the Trinidad and Tobago's aim to prioritize healthcare services in the country among others, The T&T's government is eyeing to hire medical professionals to fill their requirements. Even their President, Thomas Aquinas Carmona cited the quality service the Filipino professionals can offer in the medical sector!
Add to that, the island country prefer Filipino workers not just because of their English profieciency, but also due to the fact that previous Filipinos who were hired in the country showed "good standing" and provided quality service to the Trinbagonian people.
Health Minister Fuad Khan said Trinidad and Tobago has an urgent need for Filipinos in the ancillary services such as radiologists, ultrasound and other technicians, medical technologists and pharmacists and possibly some more nurses and doctors.
At present, there are 1000 Filipino workers and long-time residents in Trinidad and Tobago. Most of them are doctors, nurses, pharmacists, engineers and hotel employees.
