Filipinos Can Study and Work in New Zealand via Holiday Visa
Feb 4, 2014
Filipinos aged 18 to 30 years old will have the chance to spend a year to study, work or go on a holiday vacation in New Zealand through a new visa scheme opened by New Zealand's Foreign Affairs Ministry for Filipinos and New Zealanders.
The working holiday scheme (WHS) works this way: 100 New Zealanders will be allowed to enter the Philippines to spend a year working and studying while 100 Filipinos will also be chosen to work and study in New Zealand.
They will be provided a 12-month entry visa, but must adhere to leave and return to their mother country after that time period.
WHS participants may enroll in training or study for a maximum period of three months or work for one year with a limit of three months per employer.
Meanwhile, the Philippine embassy in Wellington New Zealand has released guidelines and requirements list for interested applicants.
Applicants for the Working Holiday Visa Scheme in New Zealand will be opened tomorrow, February 5.
