WorkAbroad.ph, the number one overseas jobs portal for Filipinos, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in their aim to fight illegal recruitment and promote safe online overseas job application.

In the agreement, both parties, which are represented by WorkAbroad.ph Managing Director Robert John Oh, and POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, have agreed to only promote jobs that are from POEA-licensed recruitment agencies in order to protect the welfare of Filipino jobseekers in applying for jobs abroad.

Also, WorkAbroad.ph will be developing a smart phone app for the POEA that will aid Filipino applicants in tracking and verifying the validity of the license and accreditation of a recruitment agency from the POEA and their outstanding job orders.
