Last February 10, 2005; the leaders of the five “My Trabaho” Partner Companies formally launched “My Trabaho”, a public service program that helps jobseekers and people at work find their dream jobs and develop globally competitive competencies.

“My Trabaho” has two phases.

First is the “My Trabaho” Dream last March 24, 2004. It provides selected beneficiaries with career planning, coaching and personality development services to increase their chances in getting their dream jobs.  It was launched by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Broadcasting Company and Optimus Innovations, Inc.

The second phase called "My Trabaho" Match was launched with the support of two more companies: STI and Quantum X. This second phase of "My Trabaho" provides a link between jobseekers and employers to facilitate employment of applicants qualified for vacant positions. All resumes sent to "My Trabaho" at designated drop off points, or e-mail will be encoded in a database. Job seekers can also encode their resumes themselves into the database. The database will be made available to as many employers as possible to speed up the employment process.

Quantum X, the company behind top websites WorkAbroad.ph and OFWGuide.com, is making full use of its expertise in sharing its Interactive Recruitment Information System (IRIS) to break down the barriers of the jobseekers and employers. Through IRIS, job application becomes faster and easier. And because it is Internet-ready, IRIS gives increased productivity and less expenses, by enabling foreign principals and job applicants to easily access applicant information anytime and anywhere across the globe.

The idea of joining hands for a greater cause---one that used to be just a dream---is finally being realized.
