Advisory for Amnesty-Qualified OFWs in Saudi But With No Documents
Nov 21, 2013
A recent advisory by the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi advises Filipinos who are qualified to avail the amnesty but lack the documents needed such as the original copy of their iqama and passport and failed to submit themselves for fingerprinting to immediately contact the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Riyadh (POLO Riyadh) so they can register and follow the procedures set by Wafideen/Jawazat for the processing of their final exit.
Filipinos in Saudi who can register at POLO and still qualified for amnesty are those that meet the following conditions.
-
Expatriates who absconded from work before the start of the amnesty period or 6 April 2013 and whose previous sponsors filed absconding reports against them, and
-
Those with expired iqama and not working with an employer/sponsor, and
-
Those who did not file or have no existing labor complaint filed with the Saudi Labor Office,
-
Those with no original iqama, no original passport used during entry or with entry number, and those with no fingerprint on the system.
