Job Opportunity in Korea: Shed of 9th EPS-TOPIK

Calling all male Filipino workers who wish to work in South Korea, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration announced the initial details of 9th computer-based Employment Permit System-Test of Proficiency in Korean) EPS-TOPIK to be held in August this year.
This language-proficiency exam is a requirement for a Filipino worker to be considered for a job position in the manufacturing industry of Korea. The exam is administered by the POEA and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea). Filipino workers who will pass the exam would be included in the roster of applicants for South Korea’s open jobs. However, a passing mark does not guarantee a job offer.
The registration for those who wish to take the EPS-TOPIK will happen on July 2-5 from 9am to 5 pm in the following regions: NCR, La Union, Cebu and Davao. The registration venues as well as a daily schedule based on alphabetical order of family name or last name would be announced soon. Applicant must register only in the registration venue where he/she wants to take the test. Personal appearance is required to register and the test fee is USD24 or approximately Php1000.
Who Can Register
· Must be between 18 and 38 years of age (born between July 2, 1975 and July 1, 1995
· Female applicants are restricted to register this time due to slow demand.
· Must not have any record of conviction or imprisonment for a heinous crime
· Must have no record of deportation or departure orders from the Republic of Korea
· Must not be restricted from departure from the Philippines
Test Schedule:
Date and Time: August 11, 2013 (Sunday), 10:30~11:40 (Session 1), 15:00~16:10 (Session 2)
Test Venue: Test venues will be announced on July 19, 2013
Required Documents
· EPS-TOPIK Registration Application form (To be distributed at the registration venue)
Note: Application numbers are written on each application form. Each applicant receives and submits one application form only, use correction tape in correcting errors.
· Valid passport or valid SSS UMID (a copy must be attached on application form)
Note: If an applicant’s personal information on the passport is not exactly the same as the one on the application form, their entry to Korea will not be permitted in any case, and the applicant is fully responsible for any problem caused by the differences in their personal information. We will use the personal information (name, date of birth, and gender) written on the application form and the applicant’s photo attached on the application form for their future employment in Korea, and these are not changeable in any case.
