Not all agencies require their applicants to pay for placement fees. It’s a fact. If the employer shoulder all the application expenses of their candidates then no placement fee will be asked.
But if in case the employer did not pay for his applicant’s processing costs, the agency can ask the applicant to pay for placement fee. However, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) reminds applicants that placement fee that is equivalent to one month salary offered by his/her employer only. In the case of Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong, applicants will also shoulder broker’s cost aside from his/her placement fee.
