What are the benefits of Globe DUO International vs other IDD promos?
Globe Duo International is GLOBE TELECOM’s only international offer that allows a subscriber to have his own U.S. number. His U.S. contacts can call him as often as they want and will be charged domestic U.S. rates instead of having to spend on IDD calls. This is also a much affordable alternative to calling the Philippines for the non-U.S. based contacts.

The rate to call a Globe Duo International number is also flexible, as it will be solely determined by the U.S. mobile or landline plan (i.e. AT&T subscriber avails of a local unlimited plan, therefore, calling a Globe Duo International number will be unlimited because of the plan).

How do I register for Globe DUO International?
There are two ways to register— via SMS if in the Philippines or via the Globe website. SMS registration is only available to Globe Prepaid, Postpaid and Touch Mobile subscribers in the Philippines.

1.    To register via SMS, simply text DUOINTL 999 and send to 8888. You will receive a notification within 24 hours, indicating your Globe Duo International U.S. number and date of expiration.

2.    To register via website, go to www.globe.com.ph/duointernational. Click on the registration link and fill-out the required information:

Once the first step is completed, you will be directed to the payment page to pay for the service via credit card. Visa and MasterCard credit cards and debit cards are accepted.

As soon as the transaction is completed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging that your registration is being processed. A confirmation message will be sent within 24 hours. You will not be charged until you are successfully registered. The second email will be sent within 24 hours that will confirm the successful registration with the important details.

The registered Globe subscriber will then receive an SMS notification of the start of the service and his/her Globe DUO International number. Please note that registrations done via the Globe website for Globe POSTPAID numbers will not be auto-renewed.

Once the first step is completed, you will be directed to the payment page to pay for the service via credit card. All major credit cards will be accepted. You will then receive an e-mail confirmation that will indicate a successful transaction, while the number registered online will receive an SMS reply message notification of the start of the service.

Please note that the Postpaid registrations done via the Globe website will not be auto-renewed.

How much is Globe DUO International and how long is the validity of the service?
Globe Duo International is U.S. $25 and is valid for thirty (30) days. The validity starts on the day that you receive the successful confirmation message. Registrations done via SMS for Philippine subscribers will be charged Php999 and will be deducted on the subscriber’s load.

If I am a Globe Prepaid or Touch Mobile subscriber, do I have to maintain a regular load balance when using Globe Duo International?
No, you do not need to maintain a regular load balance when using the Globe Duo International service; however, subscriber has to load his number once in a while to keep it active and avoid expiration.You must have a Php999 minimum load to avail of Globe Duo International.

Can I also call the U.S. at local U.S. rates using Globe Duo International?
No, you may only receive calls using your U.S. number. For outgoing calls to the U.S., you will be charged Regular IDD rate of $0.40/min. There are available Globe and Touch Mobile Outbound international offers such as IDD Sakto Calls, tipIDD, and SuperIDD. Rates and promos are applicable only for calls made while in the Philippines.

If you are abroad and subscribed to Globe Duo International, you will still be able to receive calls using your Globe Duo International number. Regular outbound roaming rates will apply on top of your Globe Duo International subscription.

Can I still use an IDD promo to call to the U.S., even when I am registered to Globe DUO International?
Yes, you may avail of IDD promos to call to the U.S. even while subscribed to Globe Duo International.
