
POEA Announces Open Positions For Government Agencies of Saudi Arabia and UAE

There are three ways for a Filipino worker to legally work overseas; through the help of a Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)-licensed agency, through the name-hire process or through the Government Placement Branch (GPB) scheme.
The third type of overseas recruitment offers job vacancies of government agencies of other countries. This type of recruitment is handled by the POEA. Being hired through the GPB scheme has its advantages. For one, applicants are guaranteed of the job and employer’s legitimacy. Another good thing is that applicants hired thru GPB scheme is not required to pay any placement fee.
The POEA announced on its website two job openings for the government agencies of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE). Job details and procedure on how one can apply is provided below:
Wanted: 10 Communications Technicians for the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia
Qualifications
- Graduate of Telecommunications, Electronics or related fields
- Preferably with Board License
- With at least two years work experience
- Not more than 45 years of age
- SR 4000 or Php46,726 (inclusive of accommodation, food and transportation allowance)
Primary Objectives and Functions
- To ensure that all equipments and communications systems are operating as required.
- To operate and maintain systems such as: wireless radios (handheld and mobile), telephone systems (analog, digital, IP), video conference system (web, LAN, WAN), data network(routers, modems, PCs), wireless paging systems (transmitters, units)
- To regularly inspect and test various components of the communication networks and submit reports and analysis of faults, inventory and solutions.
- To work and coordinate with sub-contractors during implementation of projects and warranty periods.
- To train end-users on the operation of their systems.
- Based at the Ministry of Health, Riyadh and travel to other areas as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Wanted: 40 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for National Ambuance Company of UAE
Qualifications
- Certified EMT-Bs from recognized body
- Must have more than 1 year experience as an EMT
- Valid drivers license from home country/driving experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Course
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Male under 45 years old
Employment Package
- Annual salary of 102,000 dirhams (AED) or Php1,216,539
- After every 12 months, an end of year benefit of 21 days is granted
- Transport allowance of 3,600 AED per year Accommodation
- One (1) economy flight home per year (travel allowance) in addition to flying the EMT in on commencement and return on contract end
Other Requirements
Must undergo and pass the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi (HAAD) Examination in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
