Oct 8, 2004
Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetimeAuthor unknown
WITH the aim of helping many of our young needy citizens obtain job security in these tough financial times, 4th Job Fair @ The Mega adopted the theme Trabaho Para sa Bawat Filipino and now invites all jobseekers to the countrys largest gathering of job seekers and employers on October 15-17, 2004 at SM Megatrade Hall 3, Level 5, Building B, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
The job fair has now expanded its client base to accommodate virtually all job markets aside from the much coveted blue label corporate slots. This way, according to the event organizer Island Exhibit Organizer Link, job seekers have even better chances of actually bagging a hire notice and lessen the need to go to other job fairs. This fair will for the first time include agencies in search of job designations such as security guards, janitors, domestic help and messengers.
The past Job Fair @ The Mega lured 14,000 people from the Metro Manila area in March. Young graduates learn additional skills from free seminars on personality development and workplace safety.
This year's Job Fair @ The Mega is now paired up to internet sites and tie-ups with text messaging providers. The e-recruitment websites JobStreet.com, Trabaho.com, Jobsonline.com.ph and Workabroad.ph which get approximately 800,000 to 900,000 hits and averages 7,000 to 9,000 unique jobseekers per day give the affair a simultaneous reach to regions outside Metro Manila.
The 4th Job Fair @ The Mega is Co-presented by JobStreet.com and Trabaho.com. In cooperation with American Technologies Inc., JobFinder Magazine, Megatrade Hall and Workabroad.ph. Also brought to you by Sykes Asia, Daksh eServices, Institute of Youth Studies, Link2Support, Teleperformance, Jobsonline.com.ph and Mindgate Services, Inc.
