Hotline for Caregivers in Canada

Caregivers or nannies in Canada can seek instant help or advice through the toll-free hotline for caregivers set up by the provincial government of Toronto, Canada. They can call hotline number: 1-866-372-3247, to be informed of their rights under Ontario's provincial labor laws, or to report cases of abuse and exploitation.

New Website for Saudi Expats

Foreigners working and living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) can now go online to verify their documents such as iqamas, working visas and IDs. They can visit the website launched by KSA’s Ministry of Interior, http://www.moi.gov.sa

How to Authenticate OFW Documents

The documents that an OFW will use to be able to work abroad needs to be authenticated first in the Philippines and the POEA) wishes to remind everyone that there is standard procedure to be followed in doing so.

The POEA also said that the OFW documents from the host country needs to be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country and by the Philippine embassy accredited to that country, if they want to use the said documents anywhere else in the world later on.
