Nominate Exceptional OFWs For the 4th BPInoy Awards!
May 4, 2009
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is in search for outstanding Filipino workers and immigrants as they announced the launching of its fourth BPInoy Awards. Now on its fourth run, this award aims to recognize and honor Filipinos abroad who have made the Philippines proud with their achievements. Nominations can be submitted from April 1, to June 30, 2009.
The head of Overseas Banking and Channels Services Group of BPI, Teresita B. Tan said, “The BPInoy Awards aims to spur nationalism in Filipinos around the world and celebrate the “Pinoy” qualities and attributes that have helped elevate the Philippines on a global platform.”
The 4th BPInoy Awards also seeks to promote the BPI Expat Pinoy Program, a BPI program that assist overseas Filipino workers (OFW) in their banking needs and help them achieve financial freedom.
Individuals or organizations may nominate anyone who has established a name and is currently active in his or her field, has worked or lived overseas, of good moral character, and has not yet received similar awards from other banking institutions.
The BPInoy Awards Steering Committee will screen the nominations to determine the two winners - one from the Arts and Media or Sports category, and the other from the Business or Science and Technology category. A BPInoy trophy and Php100,000 worth of cash to be donated to the charity of their choice awaits the winners.
Past BPInoy Awards recipients include renowned singer and musical artist Lea Salonga, technology entrepreneur Diosdado Banatao, heart surgeon Dr. George Garcia, fashion designers/entrepreneurs Monique Lhuillier and Josie Natori, and BBC World News anchor Rico Hizon.
Nominations may be sent via email to bpinoyawards@bpi.com.ph or via post to Paul Joseph F. Fonte, Marketing Department, Overseas Customers Division, Bank of the Philippine Islands, 6/F BPI Family Savings Bank Center, Paseo de Roxas cor. Dela Rosa St., Makati City 1226, Metro Manila.
