Easy Steps: How to Renew Your Philippine Passport

As we all know, passport is an important document as it allows citizens to leave and re-enter a country's borders. Since 2009, the Philippine government has been issuing passports with biometric chip also known as the e-passport.
Read on to find out how to renew a passport in seven easy ways.
First: Set an appointment here
and print the application form as instructed. Sign the form.
Second: Go to your chosen DFA branch office on the date of your appointment earlier than the set time.
Warning: Don't deal with fixers.
Third: Present the required documents to the processing section. Upon confirmation of your appointment, the DFA staff will give you a queuing number.
Primary requirements to be presented to the DFA Officer:
1. Birth certificate by NSO;
2. Application form;
3. Old passport;
4. Valid IDs; and
5. Additional documents.
Notes:

Do not forget to bring a pen.

Your old passport will be returned to you after the staff punched its first page.

Have all the documents photocopied prior to your appointment. Bring both the original and the copy of your requirements.
Fourth: Pay the corresponding processing fee at the cashier. See the list of passport fees here

Fifth: Present your receipt and have your biometrics taken at the Enrollment Section.
Reminders:

Do not wear accessories like earrings and contact lenses or any kind of head gears except for religious purposes.

Smiling with visible teeth is not allowed.
Sixth: If you opt to have your passport delivered, pay the delivery fee.
Seventh: Wait for the release of your passport on the stated date.
Important:

In the absence of the applicant, only the immediate family members are allowed to claim the passport in his behalf with proper authorization letter.

Passports unclaimed after six (6) months will be canceled per Department Order No. 37-03.
