The DOLE secretary, Rosalinda Baldoz said, "The job and livelihood fairs show our renewed national commitment to the righteous governance, anti-corruption, and anti-poverty focus of the Aquino III administration."
She added, "We are offering workers the opportunity to find productive jobs, as well as safety nets and non-wage benefits, in the Job and Livelihood Fairs that are one of the centerpiece events of the celebration."
Pre-registration is a must!
The Labor secretary encouraged jobseekers to pre-register online. According to Baldoz, pre-registration will greatly increase one’s chance of landing a job. This is because all companies and agencies that are participating in the job fair will have access to the résumés of registered applicants. Companies will pre-screen the applicants and schedule them for an interview on the day of the event. The pre-registration aims to increase the number of Hired on the spot (HOTS) applicants.
She said, "We invite jobseekers to log on to Phil-JobNet and make their selves available to our roster of employers, who are expected to bring about 30,000 job vacancies to the Job and Livelihood Fair. Pre-registration would give our job applicants a higher chance of finding a job suited to their qualifications,"
Baldoz also said that pre-registration will provide a quicker and easier mechanism for job selection and processing by employers and companies.
To pre-register, jobseekers may log on to www.phil-job.net.
Deadline for online pre-registration: April 30
